My name is Ariel Taylor and I am 19 years old. I grew up in Santa Cruz. I’ve spent most of my life making art. I was inspired to be creative at a young age because I was born into a family full of artists. Seeing their work made me feel like I wanted to create my own. I love to see other people’s art and I love that when each of us looks at the same piece of art we may all interpret it differently. That’s why I want to get my art out into the world; so people can maybe see something in it that I didn’t. Charcoal is my favorite medium because it has challenged me the most and taught me to be patient with my work.
